Island Vintners is a collaboration of three boutique wineries on Bainbridge Island who wanted to create an exceptional wine tasting room to present their award-winning, hand-crafted, premium wines. Each winery is run by passionate winemakers who bring their unique skills and knowledge of wine-making to their craft, ensuring that the unique, artisinal wine they serve you is of the highest quality. Here is a bit of background about each winery:
Amelia Wynn Winery on Bainbridge Island is a small craft winery which merges European and American styles to produce elegant, yet ready to drink wines. The winery’s name, Amelia Wynn, is in celebration of the birth of Paul’s fraternal twin grandchildren in 2008, with the 2008 vintage being the winery's first public release, and further represented by the interlocked twin squares of the logo.
The winemaker is Paul Bianchi, who has been making wine for over a decade. Paul’s wine is styled for pairing with food and therefore the wines are rich in mature tannins with enough acidity to balance the palate in the course of a great meal. The wines are not fruit bombs but more in keeping with an Old World style. The wines will benefit from decanting, allowing them to open up to show more complexity during the first one to two years in the bottle. The use of sulfites has been kept to an industry low side of 25-35 ppm. The wines have been clarified by barrel rackings and fined once with egg whites. They have not been filtered. An average of 24 months of barrel aging has been utilized to soften the wine through a slow exchange of oxidation through the barrel staves. Micro-oxygenation has not been used. Enjoy!

Fletcher Bay Winery is located on the waterfront of Fletcher Bay on Bainbridge Island. They specialize in producing premium, rich and full bodied red wines by using Columbia Valley's best quality grapes from some of the best vineyards in Walla Walla and the Yakima Valley. Recently, the winery introduced its first white wine, a Pinot Grigio, made with grapes from the Yakima Valley and has already been very well-received by wine connoisseurs.
When winemaker Jim Wilford began creating wine at his home on Bainbridge Island he wanted to take some traditional blends and experiment, developing a unique blend in his Battle Point Red. The Tara Rouge is a smooth and full bodied Right Bank Bordeaux blend. All of his red wines are full bodied, unfiltered and unfined. While most of the grapes in his wines are from French Bordeaux origin, he also incorporates the Spanish Tempranillo and the Italian Sangiovese grapes. In the case of Battle Point Red he blends Lemberger grapes for a uniquely supple yet luscious taste. By incorporating a lot of French oak in his wines it produces just the right character and flavor.

Victor Alexander Winery is located in the center of Bainbridge island, not far from Gazzman Lake. The beauty of the place draws you in as you approach.
In the early '90's, winemaker Charlie Merrill apprenticed with Romeo Conca (of Lost Mountain Winery fame) on the Olympic Peninsula; and, in addition to learning the skills of the trade, he discovered that it was possible to have a viable, successful commercial winery with limited production (less than 1000 cases/year) without the advantage of one's own vineyard. The first vintage was bottled in 2007 at around 500 cases.
Similar to many other dedicated winemakers, Charlie's winemaking passion and career evolved out of a long time love of good wine and good food. Victor Alexander winery continually strives to produce exceptional, well-balanced, approachable wines. Wines that can enjoyed today or cellared for a few years and opened on that very special occasion.
